I took Devynn and Fernando on the most amazing adventure through Boreas Pass in Breckenridge, CO! What was supposed to be a shoot with the fall leaves, turned out to be an off trail hike down a mountain to get to a small pond, and let me tell you, it was well worth it! We had originally planned to head up to Boreas pass to capture the amazing fall colors. However, when we got there we quickly realized that most of the leaves had already fallen. Instead, we explored the rest of the amazing scenery along Boreas Pass and found the coolest hidden lookout and so many amazing views! After driving and hiking around for 2 hours, we decided we could call it a day.Â
On our way back to Breckenridge, I happened to see a small pond at the bottom of the mountain that had the most beautiful view behind it. The sun was setting quick, and I knew it would be too dark to take any photos soon. We quickly pulled over and RAN as fast as we could off trail, through thick bushes, down the mountain to get to the pond. I can assure you, it was not a close distance. How Devynn ran down a mountain through bushes up to our knees while in heels, the world may never know. We got to the pond just before the sunset and the outcome was UNREAL!!!
Although we were a little upset in the beginning about missing the fall colors, the outcome of what we did get was better than any of us could imagined. After the shoot, we went and enjoyed some dinner and a hot apple cider at a local restaurant in Breckenridge to warm up. IÂ will never get tired of adventuring through the mountains with my amazing couples!
